Contest Information:
The annual Fly Fishermen of the Year Fly Fishing Tournament is held at Shannon's private waters on the South Branch of the Raritan River in November. Each Trout Unlimited Chapter in the state of New Jersey sends one member to complete. The JSTU Fly Fishermen of the Year tournament will determine our selection.
This contest is exclusive to JSTU members! JSTU members who wish to participate must 1) GO FISHING in NEW JERSEY and take pictures of their trip and 2) they must submit up to 2 PHOTOS PER TRIP for points consideration. They may take as many fishing trips as they like but may only submit 2 PHOTOS PER TRIP.
Pictures can be submitted at the General TU Meeting held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7PM.
The person with the most points at the October Meeting will be the winner.
POINTS: Points are awarded per photo submission and one time point values will be finalized at the October meeting. Points will be awarded based on the quality of the fish pictured and the JUDGE's PERSONAL OPINION!
Individual Picture Point Values:
EPIC Fish = 35 points
Awesome Fish = 25 Points
Great Fish = 15 Points
Solid Fish = 10 Points
A Fish = 2 Points
Paying Dues: = 3 Points (Picture you on a Fishing Trip)
One time Point Values:
Best Overall picture: 100 points
Runner Up Overall picture: 100 points
Second Runner UP Overall picture: 100 points
